Break Down -Jack Johnson
June 2011
Finally got the books I ordered from the library today. I’ve been waiting for Peter Zumthor’s Atmospheres forever. Some grad student had it checked out for half the year. I still can’t believe the library only has one copy.
Also ordered Thomas Hille’s Modern Schools which my thesis studio professor recommended for some pre-studio reading. I love when architecture books put in the plans for every project they show, it makes the book at least twice as fascinating.
Finally drew the shadow lines on my plans for watercolor class. I’m getting the feeling the final result isn’t going to be nearly as good as what I see in my head, so I think I’ll spend more time mixing colors to get the right tones. Since the project is in Venice, I want it to have that golden sheen to it. Thinking about posting what I come up with.
